Terms and Conditions

  • No Private Sales - All horses must go through Sale Ring.

  • All horses will sell in catalog order.

  • Health (30 days from sale date) & Coggins (12 months from sale date) required on all Horses.

  • Cowboy Select Sale Employees (staff, auctioneers, and ring men) do not guarantee or warranty any horses.  We ONLY work as an agent.  Consignors are responsible for guarantees made on their specific horses.

  • Consignors are liable for all injuries or damages their horses cause or are involved in.

  • A NEW halter and lead must stay with each horse after being sold.  

  • Registration Papers will be handled by sale staff.  Original registration papers and properly filled out signed transfers must accompany each registered horse.  Seller is responsible for all transfer fees.  Sale staff is not liable for missing papers or transfers not properly completed.

  • Nevada is a Brand Inspection State.  All consigned horses must have a brand inspection in the Sellers name.

  • There will be a Vet on site on Thursday (day before Sale) and Friday (day of sale).

  • Please look at Live Preview dates and times under "Schedule".  We recommend making all these times and previewing your horses.  There will also be a round pen set up to do Private Previews by appointment.

  • Nevada is a Equine Act State limiting the liability of equine sponsors, professionals, veterinarians, or any other person for the injury to or death of a participant as a result of an inherent risk of equine activity.  Law added 2015, c.264, 1

  • CHECK-IN Sunday Dec. 8th 2pm - 5pm, Monday Dec. 9th 9am - 11:30am, Tuesday Dec. 10th 9am - 11:30am, Wednesday Dec. 11th 9am - 11:30am.  These are very specific times due to other events using our check-in area.  Horses will need to be walked into building, no trucks or trailers will be allowed inside the building.  All horses must be checked in by 11:30am Wed. Dec 11th.  EARLY CHECK-IN (prior to Dec. 8th) and ALL TRAILER PARKING for consigners will be available at The Orleans Hotel and Casino.  Call 970-485-5823 for more details and unloading instructions.  Stalls are $135 per night per stall for early check in at the Orleans (prior to Dec 8th).

  • CHECK-OUT All horses must be out of the building by 9AM Saturday December 14th.

  • 8.5% Commission on all Sales - $375 (Non-Refundable) Consignment Fee (includes Catalog Fee, Stall Fee, Hay & Shavings while stalled at sale, & Security)

  • Discount lodging is available for consigners - For The Orleans Hotel and Casino Contact Courtney Mowbray 817-599-7664.  The Orleans is where trailer parking will be.  For Mandalay Bay Call 877-632-9001, Use Group Code "Cowboy Marketplace 2019".  Click Below to book your hotel!  Mandalay Bay is where horses will be stalled and sale will be held.  Lodging discounts expire 10/31/19.

  • It is the responsibility of the seller to correct any errors in the advertising by sale management.

  • Sellers must agree to these terms and conditions whether they have read them or not.
